The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) will, from tomorrow, execute search warrants and apprehensions in some temples of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God in Angola
The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD) has recently faced a crisis between a party that recognizes the Brazilian leadership and a group of Angolan reformers who, recently, was recognized for managing the church’s assets in Angola.
According to information obtained by this newspaper, in addition to the Attorney General’s Office, officers of the Criminal Investigation Service must be present.
Before this apprehension, the direction of the Universal Church in Angola was already prevented from operating the accounts it owns in some commercial banks.
