Sou Chio Fai admits chance of new corridor with Hong Kong

The director of Higher Education Services (DSES), Sou Chio Fai, says that solutions are being analyzed for students who will study abroad next year. A new corridor with Hong Kong is one of the possibilities open.

“We have to monitor the situation of students who are studying in Portugal”, says Sou Chio Fai, on Rádio Macau Interview, admitting the possibility of opening a new special corridor with Hong Kong.

The director of DSES also explains that the authorities are “working with universities in Portugal to see if it is possible to postpone the start of classes or take classes online”.

According to Sou Chio Fai, the number of local students studying in Portugal “is growing a lot”. “Right now, there are about 500 to 600 students taking a higher education course or the preparatory course for higher education [in Portugal]”, he says.
