Continuity of local tours dependent on visas

Pedro Arede

The Government does not plan to extend the program of local excursions beyond 30 September. However, secretary Ao Leong U admitted a possible extension, should the evolution of the epidemic and the visa issuance policy allow it. The Hengqin-Macau itinerary is due to be launched this month and tourist offers will be created in hotels up to four stars

The continuity of the local “Let’s go! Macao!” beyond September 30, is dependent on China’s pandemic evolution and visa issuance policy. The scenario was set on Friday by the secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Ao Leong U, in response to the oral interpellation presented by MP Wong Kit Cheng.

“The program of local excursions will run until 30 September and, at this stage, no extension is foreseen. Although the plan was very well accepted, its extension depends on the epidemic and the visa issuance policy of our country and for that reason we will take into account all these factors ”, explained Ao Leong U in the Legislative Assembly (AL).
