Following the “Saco azul” case, Benfica president Luís Filipe Vieira, Benfica SAD and Benfica Estádio were constituted accused of tax fraud crimes
The case that now affects Luís Filipe Vieira began in 2018, when the Tax Authority revealed a high turnover for a computer consulting company. The accusation reveals that Benfica SAD paid about 1.8 million euros (data advanced by the magazine Olá at the time) for services that never existed.
The news, initially released by the newspaper A Bola and now confirmed by the Observer, says that the president of Benfica, Luís Filipe Vieira, the club’s SAD and Benfica Estádio were constituted accused by the Public Ministry at the Campus de Justiça, in Lisbon.
