Portuguese citizen hospitalized died in Guinea-Bissau

The Portuguese citizen infected by the new coronavirus that was admitted to the hospital of Cumura, in Guinea-Bissau, died on Sunday, revealed the Operational Center for Health Emergencies (COES) today.


“There is one more death. The Portuguese citizen, 71, who was admitted to the hospital in Cumura since the 16th died yesterday (Sunday)”, said COES coordinator, Dionísio Cumba, at the daily press conference on the evolution of pandemic caused by the new coronavirus in Guinea-Bissau.

The Portuguese citizen who was hospitalized in Cumura, about 10 kilometers from Bissau, suffered from other diseases.

The Guinean doctor also said that the National Public Health Laboratory did not carry out analyzes on new samples due to the lack of laboratory material and that the number of infections remains at 1,178, including 42 recovered. “The number of fatalities increased to seven,” he said.
