At least 19 children in the Netherlands have been affected by a multisystemic inflammatory syndrome associated with Covid-19 disease, including ten who have had antibodies in their blood against the new coronavirus, the Dutch Pediatric Association (NVK) said on Monday.
These cases have been seen in the past two weeks and only four of the 19 affected minors are under the age of five, Dutch pediatricians said. Within this group, at least ten minors tested positive for the presence of antibodies in their blood against the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), which does not mean that the rest did not overcome the disease without developing defenses against the virus.
