Second Overseas Roadshow Draws 43,000 Spectators
The second mega promotional event held overseas by MGTO this year, the roadshow took place at Suntec City Atrium (Convention Centre) and featured a vibrant visual representation of Macao’s cultural diversity and unique “tourism +” charm.
Singapore residents enthusiastically visited the roadshow and shared their experiences on social media. Booths set up by the Economic Development Bureau of Hengqin, six integrated resort enterprises from Macao, and Air Macau showcased the latest tourism facilities and products.
MGTO collaborated with local tourism businesses to offer special discounts on air tickets, hotels, and other travel experiences, which proved highly popular among roadshow visitors. The event garnered a total attendance of approximately 43,000 spectators over the course of four days.
Industry Participants Confirm Networking Success
MGTO led a delegation of Macao’s travel trade to Singapore and hosted the “Macao Tourism + MICE Product Updates Seminar & Travel Mart.”
Over 100 industry participants from both sides engaged in discussions on partnership opportunities. Industry delegates from Macao affirmed the success of networking and promoting Macao as an appealing destination for leisure and MICE travelers from Singapore.
Singapore Travel KOL Boosts Destination Branding
To enhance the roadshow’s presence, MGTO carried out extensive online promotions prior to the event. Notably, Singapore travel KOL, The Travel Intern, shared Macao travel tips and gastronomic highlights during the roadshow, energizing the audience’s desire to visit Macao and bolstering destination branding.
Extensive Media Coverage in Singapore
MGTO implemented various online and offline promotional initiatives in Singapore for the mega roadshow. Promotions included advertisements on Singapore radio, newspapers, shopping center LED screens, and MGTO’s official social media platforms.
Media interviews were arranged during the event, resulting in extensive coverage of the roadshow and the latest travel information about Macao in several Singaporean media outlets.
Successive Roadshows for Overseas Marketing
In 2024, MGTO is actively organizing mega promotional events in overseas markets. Following the successful roadshows in Tokyo and Singapore, the Office will host additional roadshows in Jakarta, Seoul, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur from May onwards.
