After defeat in the Supreme Court, Bolsonaro gives up nominating PF leadership

After the Supreme Court’s decision, President Jair Bolsonaro revoked the appointment of Alexandre Ramage to the command of the Federal Police this Wednesday afternoon (29).

The abandonment of appointing Ramage to the PF general directorate was published in an extra edition of the Official Gazette of the Union. The same document also makes his exoneration from the post of president of Abin (Brazilian Intelligence Agency), which he held before be chosen for the new post.

Earlier, Minister Alexandre de Moraes (STF) had canceled Ramage’s appointment to the PF general directorate, made a day earlier by the president. The inauguration of Ramage was scheduled for the afternoon of this Wednesday (29), at the Planalto Palace.
