The forecasts are from the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), asking for a safety net of USD 100 billion for the continent. So far, the 54 countries in Africa have reported less than 20,000 confirmed cases of the disease, just a fraction of the more than 2 million cases recorded globally.
