The data were advanced by the Minister of Labor and Social Solidarity during a parliamentary hearing.
Ana Mendes Godinho reinforced the idea that the lay-off has served to cushion the loss of employment, but there was, nevertheless, an increase when comparing the March data with the most recent figures.
