“The worst is over.” New York State exceeds 10,000 deaths

The state of New York surpassed the 10,000 deaths caused by Covid-19 this Monday, reaching 10,056 deaths, with 671 more registered in the last 24 hours, said Governor Andrew Cuomo. New York remains by far the most affected state in the United States, although Andrew Cuomo has stressed that a pandemic slowdown in the New York region is confirmed, noting that, for the first time in a week, the daily death toll dropped to levels below 700.
