The vote count is not over yet and Joe Biden has already achieved the largest number of votes ever in the history of the United States. The current Democratic nominee passed the numbers of Barack Obama in 2008, which ranked first on the list until today.

In a record-breaking election, Biden has already won at least 69,542,488 votes, 50.2% of the total, surpassing the figure reached by Barack Obama in 2008 (69,498,516).
Republican Donald Trump, for his part, has at least 66,671,806 votes (48.1%), a number that is second only to Biden in 2020 and Obama in 2008. The data refer to the results computed until 14h26 (Brasilia time).
The investigation is still ongoing, and the U.S. is anxiously awaiting the outcome of seven key states: Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Trump leads in North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania, while Biden is ahead in the other four. (ANSA).
