Zaire Wade, the son of three-time NBA champion and Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade, was arrested on Sunday by the Burbank Police Department following a domestic dispute that resulted in multiple criminal charges, including a serious felony.
The 24-year-old former collegiate basketball player was taken into custody in Southern California and was later released after posting a 50,000 dollar bond. According to law enforcement records, Wade is currently facing three distinct charges: felony domestic violence, making criminal threats, and false imprisonment. In tandem with the arrest, authorities have also implemented an emergency order of protection against him.
Details regarding the incident began to surface after police officers responded to a call at a local residence. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officials reportedly discovered Wade and an unidentified woman who exhibited visible lacerations on both her face and body. Paramedics were dispatched to the location to evaluate the woman’s injuries, though she was ultimately not transported to a hospital for further medical treatment.

During the course of the arrest, authorities also located and removed a handgun from the residence. Following the preliminary investigation by local police, the case has been officially handed over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office to determine the formal filing of charges.
Wade, who previously played basketball at the collegiate level and has spent time pursuing a professional sports career following in his father’s footsteps, has not yet issued a public statement regarding the allegations. An active investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing as the legal process moves forward.
