British driver Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) secured his first Formula 1 victory today since making his high-profile switch from Mercedes to Ferrari, triumphing at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, the seventh round of the season.
Hamilton, whose last race win dates back to the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix, dominated the field to beat fellow countrymen George Russell (Mercedes) by 19.561 seconds, and reigning world champion Lando Norris (McLaren) by 23.719 seconds, completing an all-British podium.

Italian driver Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) was forced to retire just four laps from the checkered flag due to mechanical issues. Despite the setback, Antonelli maintains his lead in the World Championship standings with 156 points, followed by Hamilton with 115 points, who today celebrated the 106th victory of his historic career.
