The US President suspended attacks against Iran today, hours after threatening to strike Tehran “with great force” tonight, claiming that negotiations “were taken to the highest level of the Iranian leadership and approved.”
“In view of the fact that negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran were taken to the highest level of the Iranian leadership and approved, I, as President of the United States of America, have canceled the airstrikes and bombings scheduled against Iran for tonight,” Donald Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social.

“The discussions and the final points were, both in concept and in great detail, approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others,” he adds in the publication, without specifying what he is referring to.
Trump added that “the time and place of the signing will be announced soon” and guaranteed that the US naval blockade on Iranian ports will remain in force. The sudden diplomatic breakthrough momentarily eases the intense geopolitical tensions that have heavily disrupted global energy and financial markets over recent weeks.
