The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its national air defense systems intercepted 330 Ukrainian drones across Russian territory and the occupied Crimean Peninsula. According to the official military report, the targeted operations took place over the border regions of Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod. Additionally, interceptions were executed further inland over Oryol, Smolensk, Kaluga, Tver, Tula, Vladimir, Krasnodar, and the wider Moscow metropolitan area.
Regional authorities in Crimea and along the Sea of Azov reported that falling debris from the downed drones struck several residential buildings, igniting localized fires. In the same general area, a drone strike sparked a fire at an oil refinery, which emergency services have since successfully extinguished. Meanwhile, local officials in the western Bryansk region reported that their air defense units alone destroyed 90 drones along the border.
