Footballer Terem Moffi is leaving FC Porto, the “Dragons” confirmed today. The club signed the forward on loan from French side Nice in January but decided not to activate the 8-million-euro purchase option.

“The end of the 2025/26 season also marks the conclusion of Terem Moffi’s loan period, who leaves the FC Porto squad and will return to OGC Nice,” the Porto club stated in a press release published on its official website.

The Nigerian international joined FC Porto in January as an attacking alternative to cope with Luuk de Jong’s long-term injury, competing alongside Deniz Gül and Samu, the latter of whom would also go on to suffer a serious injury.

With a recent history of physical issues, the 27-year-old player struggled to establish himself in the Cidade Invicta, making 15 appearances and scoring two goals.

Nevertheless, Moffi won the national championship title with FC Porto, gaining a more prominent role in the team’s options following Samu’s absence since February.

The striker now returns to the southern French club, where he had previously played under manager Francesco Farioli.
