Inter Milan clinched the Italian football league title for the 21st time in its history today, defeating Parma 2-0 on Matchday 35. The “Nerazzurri” succeed Napoli as champions after having finished in second place during the 2024/25 season.
Goals from Frenchman Marcus Thuram in the 45+1 minute and Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 80th minute sealed the victory and the 21st “scudetto.” Inter entered the match only needing a draw to secure the title, following Napoli’s 0-0 stalemate with Como on Saturday and AC Milan’s 2-0 loss to Sassuolo earlier today.

With 82 points—compared to 70 for the 2024/25 champions and 67 for their third-placed cross-town rivals—Inter can no longer be overtaken with only three matches remaining in the season.
This marks the 21st Serie A title for the team, currently managed by former club player Christian Chivu. Inter remains on track for a domestic “double” as they prepare to face Lazio in the Coppa Italia final on May 13.
