Iran War: Donald Trump says leaders have “been wiped off the face of the Earth”

"For 47 years they have been killing innocent people all over the world, and now I, as the 47th president of the United States of America, am killing them," the US President wrote. "What a great honour it is to do so!"

US president Donald Trump issued a new threat against Iran, writing: “Watch what’s going to happen to these deranged lunatics today.”

“Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force no longer exists, missiles, drones and everything else are being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped off the face of the Earth,” the US president added on Truth Social, the social network he owns.

“For 47 years they have been killing innocent people all over the world, and now I, as the 47th president of the United States of America, am killing them,” Trump wrote. “What a great honour it is to do so!” he added.

The threat came hours after Iran said a missile fired by pro-Tehran Iraqi groups struck a US refuelling aircraft that crashed in western Iraq, with six crew members on board. US Central Command confirmed that a refuelling aircraft had crashed in western Iraq, but insisted the loss of the KC-135 “was not caused by enemy or friendly fire.”

Saudi Arabian, UAE and Bahraini authorities today reported new Iranian strikes against their territories as the Middle East conflict approaches its second week. Saudi Arabia’s defence ministry announced on X that it intercepted several missiles in its airspace — four in the eastern and central regions, six in an eastern province and seven attempting to enter the kingdom’s airspace. Exact locations were not specified.

Dubai authorities reported on social media that debris from a “successful interception” caused minor damage to the façade of a building in the city centre, with no injuries recorded. The latest incident follows a drone that crashed near Dubai’s financial district on Thursday, after Iran threatened to strike US economic institutions, prompting some American companies to withdraw staff from the emirate.

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry asked residents to remain calm and seek shelter in the nearest location after emergency sirens sounded, according to a statement published on X.
