Macau’s Gaming revenues rise 4.5% in February

Revenues increased by 4.5% in February compared to the same month in 2025, but fell by 8.7% compared to January of this year, it was announced on Sunday

Casinos collected 20.627 billion patacas (2.17 billion euros) in February, according to data from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ)

In January, Macau’s casinos had collected 22.633 billion patacas (2.38 billion euros), which represented a 24% increase compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the first two months of the year, Macau’s casinos recorded total revenues of nearly 43.26 billion patacas (4.55 billion euros), an increase of 13.9% compared to the same period in 2025.

February included most of the so-called “golden week” of the Lunar New Year, a peak period for tourism in Macau. This holiday period on the Chinese mainland, which varies according to the lunar calendar, took place this year between February 15 and 23. Macau received nearly 1.6 million visitors during the nine days of Lunar New Year holidays on the Chinese mainland, the world’s largest annual migration, was announced today.

The Public Security Police Force (PSP) of Macau registered the passage of more than 1.55 million visitors between February 15 and February 23, an average of 172,737 visitors per day.

According to the data published by the Macao Government Tourism Office, the daily average represented an increase of 5.5% compared to the Lunar New Year 2025. The DST had forecasted a daily average of between 158,000 and 175,000 visitors and a total of 1.4 million visitors during this period.

According to the latest estimate made by the Government, the total resident population in the Macau Special Administrative Region was 686,600 people.

Macau’s casino revenues reached 247.4 billion patacas (26 billion euros) last year, a 9.1% increase compared to the previous year.
