Federal police say Bolsonaro should receive care in prison and does not need hospitalization

Supreme Court justice asks Bolsonaro's defense team and the Prosecutor General's Office to comment on the findings

A medical assessment by Brazil’s Federal Police concluded that former president Jair Bolsonaro requires special care at Papudinha, a unit attached to the Papuda penitentiary complex in Brasília, where he is serving a 27-year-and-three-month sentence for attempting a coup. According to the report, there is no need to transfer him to a hospital.

The report, requested by Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, states that Bolsonaro has chronic conditions that are under control and recommends optimizing treatments and adopting preventive measures due to the risk of complications.
