Recently, the finale theme day of the “Towards Dual Carbon · Building a Healthy Enterprise” 2025 Series of activities and “Eat Green, Eat Healthy Creative Recipes Challenge” award ceremony was held successfully at the GICC.
Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) continues to promote sustainability and workplace wellness through its latest initiative — the “Towards Dual Carbon · Building a Healthy Enterprise” 2025 Series.
Supported by the Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) and the Health Bureau (SSM), the program aims to deepen awareness of environmental protection and healthy lifestyles among team members and the wider Macau community.
Spanning five months since its launch in June, the series has included a green recipe design competition, energy conservation booths, and health promotion activities related to SSM’s “Healthy Enterprise Program.” GEG also supported DSPA’s hotel “Green Tours,” where local students learned about sustainable hotel operations and green practices.
The initiative culminated in a finale theme day and the “Eat Green, Eat Healthy Creative Recipes Challenge” award ceremony at the Galaxy International Convention Center, showcasing team members’ achievements in fostering a green and healthy corporate culture.
Nearly 60 recipes were submitted for the competition, judged on presentation, aroma, taste, creativity, nutritional value, and cooking technique. Eight winners were recognized, and five standout dishes will be featured on staff canteen menus to promote green dining.
The president of the Macau Professional Nutritionist Association, Ms. Steph Ng also delivered a lecture on the benefits of low-carbon diets for health and stress management.
Beyond the competition, GEG partnered with SSM to organize the “Health Club” touring event, offering traditional Chinese medicine consultations, health screenings, and chronic disease awareness programs.
The company also joined forces with the Macau Electricity Company, Ltd. to operate an interactive energy conservation booth promoting eco-friendly habits and paperless lifestyles.
Additionally, around 280 students participated in hotel Green Tours at GEG’s award-winning properties, including Galaxy Hotel™, Banyan Tree Macau, and Hotel Okura Macau, gaining insight into sustainable hospitality practices.
GEG’s continuous efforts in sustainability have earned multiple recognitions, including the “Excellence in Social Positive Impact – Commendation” at the 8th Hong Kong ESG Reporting Awards and numerous Macao Green Hotel Awards.
As one of the first enterprises certified under SSM’s “Healthy Enterprise Program,” GEG provides healthy meal options, self-health monitoring devices, and wellness programs engaging over 40,000 team member participations to date.
Through initiatives like this, GEG remains committed to advancing Macau’s dual carbon goals and building a healthier, more sustainable community.
