The second edition of CreatorWeek Macao 2025 ended on a positive note, reaffirming the goal of positioning Macao as an international platform for the creative economy, connecting the digital ecosystems of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area with Portuguese-speaking and international markets.
Held from October 24 to 28, under the organization of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the international media production company Branded, the event featured two main programs: the CreatorWeek Conference and the CreatorWeek Academy.
The conference, held on October 27 and 28 at the Grand Lisboa Palace, brought together international and local speakers to share insights on the development of the creator economy.

The program focused on cultural integration between Chinese and Western social media networks, platform trends, monetization, and future perspectives of the creator economy. Featured speakers included Ben Wong (Google Greater China), Evan DeFilippis (MrBeast/YouTube), Benny Chu (Meta Greater China), and Aiden Qin (YChina/Boom Technology).
Meanwhile, the CreatorWeek Academy offered practical sessions on producing high-quality content, building audiences, brand partnerships, and account management, leveraging Macau’s cultural characteristics.
Key speakers included Bing Chen (Gold House), Apl.de.Ap (Black Eyed Peas), Hudson Matter (NextWave Media), and Saket Jha Saurabh (Snapchat). The program also addressed local topics such as short-video positioning, the Macau sector landscape, account management strategies, and professional conduct on Chinese platforms.

MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes stated that CreatorWeek reflects Macao’s commitment to supporting creativity and young talent, highlighting that the initiative strengthens the city’s image as an international hub combining tourism, culture, and technological innovation.

Deputy Director Cheng Wai Tong added that the event drives Macao’s economy and increases its appeal among young tourism markets.
CreatorWeek Macao 2025 also emphasized the importance of developing local talent and fostering integration between higher education and technological innovation. Universities and incubators presented programs focused on digital skills training, aligning with the government’s goal of building a more diversified and competitive economy.
The event thus serves as a platform for the convergence of creativity, technology, and tourism, reinforcing Macao’s role as a city open to cooperation and international dialogue.
