According to the Government Information Bureau, Sam said in his opening address that economic globalisation is an ‘irreversible trend of history’, while ‘multilateralism is the necessary choice for addressing the difficult challenges facing the world’.
‘Only by strengthening the concept of a “community” and coming together can certainty be found amid uncertainties,’ the city’s leader said. ‘New opportunities can also be created in times of change.’
