To encourage participation, the Commission has partnered with two bus companies and the light rail operator to provide free transportation throughout the day. On election day, service stations will operate across Macau from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, assisting voters with queries, such as locating polling stations, and offering transport for those in need. Seng urged voters to engage actively, stating, “Vote together for patriotic and capable candidates to contribute to the Macau SAR.”
The Commission has also printed summaries of candidate platforms for both direct and indirect elections. These will be available for free during the campaign period at public offices, government facilities, and select public housing estates, with specific locations to be announced later.
To ensure a fair process, the Commission emphasized that security forces, security department personnel, and judicial officers must uphold strict political neutrality, as mandated by the Judicial Officers’ Statute and the Macau Security Forces and Departments Statute. These individuals are prohibited from making public political statements, such as endorsing nomination committees or participating in campaign activities, but retain the right to vote anonymously on September 14th. Seng reaffirmed the Commission’s stance, stressing that neutrality is mandatory while preserving voting rights.
