The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government issued a press release on Tuesday, June 17th, announcing that Xia Baolong, director of the Hong Kong and Macau Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council, will visit Hong Kong from June 18th to 22nd.
During his visit, he will attend a forum organized by the SAR Government commemorating the fifth anniversary of the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law and conduct research on Hong Kong’s economic and social development.
Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee expressed gratitude for Director Xia Baolong’s long-standing attention and support for Hong Kong, extending a warm welcome for his visit to attend the event and conduct his inspection. The SAR Government will provide its full cooperation to ensure the smooth execution of the arrangements.
