With the petition gaining traction, the traditional associations that last week had defended the Government’s project withdrew, and asked for the works to be suspended
A petition demanding that the Chief Executive suspend the construction of the giant statue of Kun Iam near the Hac Sá Dam and that he maintain the barbecue area gathered more than 8 thousand signatures until yesterday. The initiative was launched by the Associação da Sinergia de Macau, linked to deputy Ron Lam, and the number of subscribers was updated yesterday, on the same day that traditional associations began to withdraw their initial support for the project.
