The vice-president of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, said today that “the ‘Third World War’ is getting closer” referring to the increase in military aid from NATO countries to Ukraine.
“The delusional West could not invent anything else. It was predictable, down to idiocy. In fact, it is a dead-end street. The ‘Third World War’ is getting closer,” wrote Medvedev, former president of Russia between 2008 and 2012.
The former head of state added in the text disseminated through the digital messaging system Telegram that the NATO Summit, in Vilnius, increased military aid to Ukraine “with everything possible: missiles, cluster bombs and planes”.
“What does this mean for us? As is evident: the special military operation [in Ukraine] will continue with the same objectives”, said Medvedev, referring that one of the purposes of the operation is to make the “Nazi group of Kiev [Government] renounce being part of NATO” .
“We need to liquidate this group. It has to be possible. Is required”. concludes the former Russian president.
