A day after issuing a statement clarifying the letter he sent to inform PSG of his decision not to trigger the additional year (until 2025) included in his recent contract renewal in May 2022, Kylian Mbappé granted an interview to Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport”.
In the conversation, the forward began by reinforcing that he has no plans to leave the French champions this summer, despite press rumours linking him with Real Madrid, denying he has asked to leave.
“I have asked neither to be sold nor to go to Real Madrid. I have only confirmed that I will not activate the option to extend the contract for another year. We never talked about renewing with PSG, but I am happy to stay next season,” he stressed.
As for his goals in the French capital, Mbappé assured that he intends to win it all, even if he admits that the team has “deficiencies” that end up costing him dearly.
