Do you want to know Croatia? Now it’s very simple

Croatia has already completed entry into the European Schengen area of free movement.

With the inclusion of its nine airports, all flights from Croatia to the other 26 Schengen countries and vice versa are treated as internal flights.

Thus, passengers will transit freely and without border controls for documentation.

The Croatian Ministry of the Interior explained, in a statement, that the average proportion of air traffic will be 70% domestic flights against 30% international, except at Dubrovnik airport, where they are divided into equal parts.

According to the Hina news agency, Zagreb airport, the largest in the country, invested one million euros in technical and infrastructure adaptations. And Zadar Airport spent 2.2 million euros in the process.

The Government hopes that the simplified system will “significantly increase” the interest of tourists in visiting the country.

Before airports, Croatia joined the Schengen area on January 1, with the opening of land and sea borders.
