Macau students suffer from rising rents

Well Lai, president of the Associação dos Estudantes Luso-Macaenses, based in Lisbon, adds that MSAR students in Portugal are also suffering from rising rents, especially in Lisbon. The law student believes that the Government of Macau may increase the current housing subsidy

The huge demand that has been felt in the real estate market in Portugal, but especially in the big cities like Lisbon and Porto, has generated a large increase in rents, with consequent housing difficulties for the majority of Portuguese people. Despite receiving a monthly housing subsidy of around 3,300 patacas, students in the MSAR in Portugal have also suffered from these increases.
