The Al Nassr coach’s statements promise to cause controversy. After the defeat with Al Ittihad, of Nuno Espírito Santo, by 3-1, in the semi-final of the Saudi Super Cup, Rudi Garcia did not spare Ronaldo.
“One of the things that changed the course of the game was the opportunity that Cristiano Ronaldo missed in the first half”, said the Al Nassr coach, referring to a move in which the Portuguese failed to score, when the score was at 1- 0 for the opponent. Shortly after, Al Ittihad made it 2-0 to reach the break.
“I congratulate Al Ittihad. They were much better than us in the first half. We went up in production in the second half, but unfortunately we weren’t able to turn things around”, added Rudi Garcia, quoted by the Arab press.
