Ronnie Hillman, Denver Broncos champion, dies aged 31

Former running back Ronnie Hillman, formerly of the Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys, has died aged 31 from medullary renal cell carcinoma – a rare form of cancer. The announcement was made by the former athlete’s family this Thursday (22/12).

The cancer was diagnosed in August of this year. According to the former athlete’s family, he died quietly and peacefully today in the company of his family and close friends.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and father, Ronnie K Hillman Jr. Ronnie passed quietly and peacefully today in the company of his family and close friends. We as a family appreciate the prayers and kind words that have already been expressed. We ask that you allow us time to process our feelings as we prepare to lay our precious RJ to rest.”
