“In order to make America great and glorious again I am announcing tonight my candidacy for President of the United States,” said the billionaire as he was cheered by a crowd at his mansion in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.
“There has never been a movement like this in the world that rivals what we have managed to do. America’s comeback starts now,” he added.
Trump entered a luxurious room full of supporters alongside his wife, Melania Trump, having been introduced as the “next President of the United States of America”.
Surrounded by American flags and banners with his iconic campaign slogan “Make America Great Again”, the tycoon recalled his first term in an idyllic way, describing that period as a country at peace, prosperous and respected on the international scene, and exaggerating in the description of his conquests as president.
