Portuguese exports and imports increased 24.7% and 29.6% in September

According to the International Trade Statistics, from the National Institute of Statistics, the trade deficit worsened by 820 million euros and reached 2,699 million euros.

National exports and imports increased +24.7% and +29.6%, respectively, in the month of September. What compared to August is equivalent to an increase of +32.3% and +49.6%. The data are advanced by the National Statistics (INE), which released on Wednesday the International Trade Statistics.

As the INE indicates, the Portuguese trade balance deficit has worsened by 820 million euros when compared to September 2021, has even reached 2 699 million euros. Once again excluding fuels and lubricants, the deficit totaled 1,643 million euros. That is, it increased by €439 million compared to the same period a year ago.
