253 people died on Portuguese roads until July

The more than 18,000 road accidents recorded until July this year caused 253 deaths, 14.5% less compared to 2019, but 31.1% more compared to the same period in 2021.

The National Road Safety Authority (ANSR) report for July states that in the first seven months of the year there were 18,889 traffic accidents in Portugal, resulting in 253 deaths, 1,398 serious injuries, and 22,021 minor injuries.
