“If you take into account the population of the territories that joined Russia, around six million people, the demand for money would be around 500 to 600 billion rubles (from eight to 9.8 billion euros)”, said the vice president of the association, Alexei Voylukov.
However, according to the banker, “in these regions the payment infrastructure is still poorly developed, there are few ATMs and terminals for cashless payments”.
“This will require approximately an additional 50%, up to about 900 billion rubles,” he explained.
Voylukov pointed out that it is possible to transfer this amount of money over several months.
