Hundreds of migrants trying to cross the English Channel in small boats were rescued on Sunday, French authorities said.
Several patrol boats were sent to offer assistance to vessels in difficulty in the English Channel, French coastal authority Premar said.
In total, 367 people were rescued and then taken to the French ports of Calais, Boulogne and Dunkirk.
More and more immigrants try to reach England by crossing the English Channel in small boats. Since the beginning of this year, 33,500 people have crossed the canal on these boats, a record number.
