Diplomats exempt from prior authorization to enter Macau

As of yesterday, the entry of diplomats into Macau does not require prior authorization from the health authorities. However, they remain subject to the rules of compliance with the seven-day quarantine in a hotel, plus three self-management.

It is the first time that the diplomatic corps has known this relief on entry to Macau since the beginning of the pandemic, in January 2020.

The lifting of restrictions on the entry of holders of diplomatic documents was announced in a statement from the Contingency Coordination Center for the New Type of Coronavirus issued last night.
