Goa to receive India’s first green energy convergence project

The project aims to generate green energy for rural and agricultural consumption

Energy Efficiency Services (EESL), a joint venture under the Ministry of Energy, and the Goa government signed a memorandum of understanding this Tuesday to discuss the implementation of the clean energy project at affordable prices.

The project is expected to accelerate the use of renewable energy sources in the country, revealed Union Minister of State RK Singh, adding that the signing of the memorandum “in a sense marks the beginning of a new green revolution”. Singh asked Goa to take the lead in this regard with all possible support from the Central Government.
