Former Argentine footballer Diego Maradona will have to stay in the hospital for several days, after showing “mental disorders”, following the operation for a subdural hematoma, doctor Leopoldo Luque said on Thursday.
According to the doctor who led the team of neurosurgeons responsible for the operation, Maradona has revealed some “mental disorders, caused by fasting and requiring treatment”.
Hours earlier, Leopoldo Luque had announced that “El Pibe” would be released from the hospital shortly, expressing optimism about the recovery of the former ace.
The former footballer, who currently coaches Gimnasia de la Plata, was successfully operated on Tuesday night for a subdural hematoma, detected during a “check-up”.
