Hundreds march in Taiwan demanding release of 12 Hong Kong protesters

Hundreds of people marched yesterday in the capital of Taiwan, to demand the release of 12 Hong Kong anti-government protesters, who were arrested by mainland Chinese authorities in August, including a young Portuguese-Chinese.

The protests started on Friday, in several cities around the world – from New York, in the United States, to Vancouver, in Canada, to Adelaide, in Australia – expressing their support to the young people who were arrested, in a campaign that was named # save12hkyouths (save 12 young people from Hong Kong).

Among the detainees is university student Tsz Lun Kok, holder of Portuguese and Chinese passports.
