This is possible by paying jetons (remuneration for those who attend board meetings).
As jetons are not considered salaries, they do not enter the account of the maximum limit that a federal civil servant can receive, equivalent to the salary of a minister of the Supreme Court (Supremo Tribunal Federal).
In early September, the government presented to Congress a proposal to redesign the public service in Brazil, with the aim of modernizing the public machine and reducing personnel spending. The growth of these expenditures reduces the margin of the Budget for investments and social programs.
