The 68 million euros (ME) paid by Manchester City to Benfica for the signing of Rúben Dias makes the transfer of the Portuguese international defender the second most expensive of a footballer in Portugal, just behind João Félix.
Benfica reported on Sunday that the transfer of Rúben Dias to the English club involves the payment of 68 ME, which may be added by another 3.6 ME, bringing the total to 71.6 ME, “depending on the achievement of goals related to Manchester City’s sports performance ”.
The transfer fee for the 23-year-old central defender is only surpassed by the 120 ME that Atlético de Madrid paid, also to Benfica, for the signing of striker João Félix, in the summer of 2019.
