Lebanese President distributes donated tea among bodyguards to explosion victims
Country received 1,600 kilos of Sri Lankan product after tragedy that left 190 dead
Lebanese President Michel Aoun received harsh criticism on social media on Tuesday (8) after the revelation that 1,600 kilograms of tea donated by the Sri Lankan government to victims of the explosion in the port of Beirut were distributed among the families of his guards -back.
Sri Lanka, like Brazil, was one of several countries that offered aid to Lebanon after the explosion on August 4 that left 190 dead, more than 5,000 injured and 300,000 homeless.
