Endiama revised this year’s earnings from diamond sales down from $ 1.4 billion to $ 1.1 billion, compared to a 20 percent drop in production from January to August.
According to the president of the Board of Directors of Endiama, Ganga Júnior, in eight months, the country produced 5.3 million carats of diamonds. Until December, a production of 8.3 million carats is forecast, against the initial target of 10, 5 million carats.
