The mission is a milestone in nine years as it was the first manned flight to be launched in the USA since 2011, but also in the relationship between NASA and private companies – in this case, SpaceX.
After more than two months, the astronauts aboard the Dragon Crew capsule, launched by the Falcon 9 rocket, returned to land this Sunday (August 2). It was on May 30 that it took off the first manned space flight to be launched from the U.S. in nine years – after the cancellation of NASA’s space shuttle program – as a result of a partnership with Elon Musk’s private company, SpaceX.
