Covid-19 is gradually spreading across the country, and at present, 10 of the 18 provinces have already registered positive cases. In the last 24 hours, 39 new cases were confirmed, one death and 39 recovered, bringing the figure to a total of 1,148 infected, of which 440 recovered and 52 dead.
The Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, announced yesterday in Luanda that four of the 39 new diagnosed cases are located in the municipality of Soyo, Zaire province, involving workers from Kwanda Base, and one in Luena, province of Moxico.
The official, who spoke in the usual daily update on the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, clarified that the five cases specified above were imported from Luanda.
