Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng met with the secretary of the Zhuhai Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Yao Yisheng, to discuss strengthening joint cooperation with a view to preventing further outbreaks of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The meeting, held on Thursday, aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in terms of public health and accelerate the completion of the project aimed at transforming the island of Mountain into a special cooperation area between Guangdong and Macau.
In a statement, the Government of Macau explained that both sides agreed that during the current epidemic crisis, the “evident” results achieved were only possible due to joint prevention and control efforts.
