From 6:00 am tomorrow, the 29th, the quarantine exemption will be extended to all residents of Macao.

Since the 15th, Macao residents have been able to move to nine cities in the neighboring province (Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing), but as long as they present a certificate on how they tested negative for COVID-19 and health codes (from Macau and Guangdong).

The announcement made today in a statement said that the measure is “for those who pass through the border posts in Macau”.

However, foreigners, even though they have BIRs, must remain barred from entering, in line with national policy. With few exceptions, China has maintained, since the end of March, the ban on the entry of foreigners even if they hold tourist visas that are still valid.
